Laser Mole Removal

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

There are two main reasons why people remove moles, for someone it is a wish and for someone it is a must. One people are just striving to look more beautiful and some people have medical indications.  If a person decided to do it surgically he/she can choose three options: to cut it off or shave with a scalpel, to remove it with the help of a laser or to freeze it.  Following one of these techniques everyone should remember that there are some risks. For example, the procedure of mole removal with a scalpel is following: a doctor cuts of shaves a mole out using a scalpel, and then he burns the wound to stop bleeding. It is very important to know that this particular method has the highest risk to leave a scar. And in some cases a scar can be even larger than the mole was itself. And moreover, as a rule, this method costs money.

Laser surgery

A common used procedure is laser surgery. To realize this method in practice a person will need both time and money. To remove your mole with a laser more than one visit is required if a person wants to get good results. The reason is that a laser has not an ability to penetrate deep in to the skin. This factor that a laser excludes deep penetration causes one problem. This laser can’t remove deep moles, but on the contrary, after the procedure, they can grow back again. But obviously, there are some positive moments. During the laser procedure a patient feels minimal pain and discomfort. Also a patient won’t have any stitches.

Freezing

This method is for those who are going to remove small and not deep moles. There are two ways to freeze a mole:

  • To make an injection of liquid nitrogen to the mole (penetrating inside nitrogen kills the abnormal skin cells).
  • To spray liquid nitrogen directly on the mole.

After this procedure on the skin a blister can be formed, later it turns into a scab and finally falls off. Scarring is almost invisible and disappears very quickly. As you can see this therapy can guarantee you good results and minimum skin damage. Also it is less expensive and not so painful as cutting of or shaving with a scalpel.

But you should remember before stating to plan one of this options you should consult a specialist.
